Cost
- All costs are listed per person.
- Total:
- $1120 each for expendables.
- $2000 refundable (can be put on a credit card).
- Food ($640):
- $500: 40 days at sea, $5 each meal, 2.5 meals per day.
- $140: 14 days in Tahiti, $10 each meal, 2 meals per day.
- Alcohol ($250):
- $150: 6 weeks at sea, 1 liter rum plus 12 beers per week.
- $100: 5 nights out in bars and nightlife in Tahiti.
- Fuel ($30):
- $150: Worst case, we motor a lot through the doldrums, both ways, 100gal split by 3 people. ($30 realistically, 20 gal split by 3 people)
- Excursions in Tahiti ($200):
- $200: Spending money for whatever.
- Fully refundable bond to Tahiti customs ($2000):
- $2000 (or the equivalent of a one way plane ticket to the US.)
