We started spinnaker class, but unfortunately used our normal start time and immediately disqualified. Not worth turning back to start again although it would have gained us a few points. Anyway, today’s race was just for fun. In any case, the first leg we stayed ahead of Ankle Biter, but the wind dropped a bit and allowed Ankle Biter to pass us around the DH mark putting us in last place. On the way back, however, we were passing a boat upwind but they used their right of way to cut up hard requiring us to duck them. Ankle Biter kept pulling away without spinnaker. Light winds up the channel and just before the finish a wind shift pushed us towards the last red channel marker. Engine on to avoid, ensuring our DSQ.
